Tricycle magazine

I must confess I'd never looked at Tricycle (The Buddhist Review) until they featured my work in their Summer issue (accompanying an excellent essay by Henry Shukman). What a good looking magazine. Bill Armstrong is in this issue too, as is Sarah Palmer, whose work I like a lot.

Interview

Here's a nice little interview of me in East Tennessee State University's photo department blog, conducted by Lurah Lowery, who is a senior there.

Glow sticks #2 video

Here's a little video I shot of the actual piece. Watch for the 13 second mark, when I step in a hole and nearly hit the deck.

Glow Sticks #2

Here's my newest piece, Glow sticks #2. It's shot in Stone Ridge, NY, and modeled after the mating swarms of midges, mosquitos and gnats, in which the males cluster in the middle, and the females buzz through from the margins, hoping to emerge with a new friend.

Happy to report I made a BRIC Arts "Short List," curated by Leslie Kerby. Other picks include super-cool sculptor Abraham McNally and Mary Mattingly of Waterpod fame.

Sixth Finch

There is some exceptional poetry in the winter issue of Sixth Finch. Also a curious photo of swarming post-it notes that's worth checking out.
